With V&M Star, our parent companies are the leading producers of seamless tubular products in North America with the majority oil country tubular goods (OCTG).

The V&M star company’s steel and pipe making operations are based in Youngstown, Ohio. The facility boasts the latest technology in electric arc furnace steelmaking and retained mandrel mill pipe production, manufacturing seamless tubular products in ODs range from 5” to 10 ¾”. Another facility in Houston, Texas, has heat-treating, hot-sizing, straightening, hydrotesting, third-party inspection and pipe-end finishing capabilities. The Houston high-tech heat-treatment facility provides precise temperature control and water quenching, allowing production of high yield OCTG, coupling stock and line pipe grades required for today’s critical environments.

For larger ODs (up to 26”), heavy walls (up to 2”), non standard sizes, special tolerances and special drifts dimensions, our parent companies overseas manufacturing plants provide speed of delivery and ease of import.

As oil and gas wells go deeper with ever higher pressures, temperatures and more corrosive conditions, requirements for tubular are increasingly severe. Our parent companies offer a premium tubular product to fit any well condition and (with an extensive research and development) develop the OCTG of the future. Tubular goods are developed with different grades of steel, chemical composition and mechanical properties such as hardness, fatigue strength, resilience, resistance and collapse resistance.
